| Producer prices of agricultural producers were 3.1% higher year-on-year in October |

| Agricultural producer prices in October grew at the slowest pace since the beginning of the year, up 3.1% year-on-year. Producer prices of plant production fell for the first time this year year-on-year, by 0.1%. In animal production, double-digit price growth remained, at 11.2% in the tenth month. This was reported by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic.
In the structure of plant production, cereal prices were lower this year for the first time than a year ago (-2.3%). At the same time, the year-on-year decline in producer prices of potatoes (-18.8%) and legumes (-9.7%) deepened. The year-on-year growth in prices of oilseeds and fruits and fresh vegetables slowed to below 4%. The prices of fruit and nuts returned to double-digit growth (16.5%).
Among animal products, the growth in producer prices of chicken eggs for consumption (25.6%) and raw cow's milk (15.9%) slowed down. The growth in producer prices of beef, slaughter cattle including calves (21.1%) accelerated. The prices of pigs for slaughter remained cheaper than a year ago (-10.1%).
