| Companies welcome planned restoration of Druzhba pipeline |
| Bratislava, 23.04.2026 |
 |
| The Association of Employers' Unions and Associations (AZZZ) of the Slovak Republic welcomed the information about the planned resumption of the Družba oil pipeline. It sees this step as a positive signal for the stability of raw material supplies, as well as for strengthening the predictability of the business environment in the region. This was stated on Wednesday by AZZZ spokesperson Miriam Filová.
"We see this step as a pragmatic strengthening of the energy stability of the region. Diversification is not about replacing one source with another, but about creating a balanced portfolio that can respond to changing market conditions," stated the President of AZZZ SR Rastislav Machunka.
The resumption of the flow through the Družba oil pipeline represents a significant benefit for companies dependent on regular oil supplies in terms of logistical efficiency and cost optimization. It will affect the refining and chemical industries the most, transport and logistics, energy and heavy industry, but it will also have a secondary impact on other sectors, the association said.
Oil supplies via Druzhba will reduce pressure on alternative and often more expensive routes for companies, which significantly contributes to the overall competitiveness of companies. The association added that the combination of multiple routes contributes to the stabilization of supplies.odkaz na stránku |
