| Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the job market |
| Bratislava, 07.07.2026 |

| Artificial intelligence (AI) is fundamentally changing the rules of the labor market and will transform the way companies define employee skills in the coming years. “Predicting the development of the labor market two to three years in advance is extremely challenging. Artificial intelligence is developing at an unprecedented pace, and what seems impossible today may be a common part of work in a few months,” warned edubird co-founder Ľuboš Masný.
Another of the two co-founders of the project, Juraj Zaťko, stated that it will not only be about IT or marketing. “Artificial intelligence will gradually penetrate manufacturing, healthcare, education, trade, services, finance and public administration. The question is no longer whether a particular profession will encounter AI, but when and to what extent,” he explained.
That is why the very nature of competition in the labor market is changing. "The biggest competitive advantage will not be the access to AI tools themselves, but the ability of people and companies to use these tools effectively. The sooner they learn to use them, the sooner they will gain an advantage," Zaťko noted.
Effective use of artificial intelligence can save people a lot of time and money, and according to experts, practically anyone can learn to use it. AI helps with writing emails, creating marketing content, or automating administrative tasks.
The biggest obstacle is not technology, but the way of thinking. People often approach AI as an Internet search engine, thus using only a fraction of its potential. According to experts, artificial intelligence can help with content creation, data analysis, problem solving, or process automation.
Another common mistake is insufficient context when working with AI and ineffective "prompting", i.e. inaccurate or insufficient assignment of tasks to AI. The more relevant information it receives, the better quality outputs it can generate. Most people still do not use it to its full potential, not because of the technology, but because of a lack of knowledge and habits.
Responding to technological progress and changes in the labor market in relation to AI does not automatically mean knowing how to program or understand the technical details of its functioning. “It is mainly about the ability to understand the possibilities of AI, knowing where and how it can help in practice, and at the same time knowing its limits. Responsible and safe use is also an important part, including the ability to critically evaluate the outputs that AI generates and realize that it is a tool to support decision-making, not a replacement for one's own judgment,” explained Masný.
AI readiness also requires openness to new technologies, a willingness to experiment and naturally integrate AI into everyday work processes. “Since artificial intelligence is developing extremely quickly, the ability to constantly learn and adapt to new tools and procedures is equally important,” he said.
According to edubird, companies are already in various stages of adopting artificial intelligence. Some are actively using it and optimizing its use, others are just starting out, and others are still afraid of it. "AI competencies are becoming a new form of digital literacy. It's no longer a question of whether we will use AI, but how well we will know how to use it," added Masný.odkaz na stránku |
