| On Monday in Bratislava, Slovak Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Richard Takáè (Smer-SD) welcomed his counterparts to a ministerial meeting of the Visegrád Group (V4) countries held in an expanded "V4+4" format, with the participation of Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, and Slovenia. A special guest at the meetingheld under the auspices of the Slovak V4 presidencyis Francesco Lollobrigida, the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forestry of the Italian Republic. The Slovak Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MPRV) announced the event.
The ministerial meeting involving the V4+4 and Italy continues on Tuesday (October 6) with a joint working session for the ministers. The agenda includes the signing of joint declarations followed by a press conference.
The meeting aims to create a forum for an open and informal exchange of views among countries facing numerous shared challenges in the agriculture and food sectors. Slovakia intends to use its presidency primarily to seek common positions and practical solutions that will benefit farmers and food producers. "I am very pleased that we were able to meet in such a high-level format. My invitation was accepted not only by colleagues from the V4 countries but also by ministerial counterparts from Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, and Slovenia, as well as Italian Minister Francesco Lollobrigida as a special guest. This is an opportunity for us to speak openly about what unites our countries, where we share common interests, and where we can work together to ensure a stronger voice for European agriculture," added Takáè.odkaz na stránku |
