Domaòski: Poland will never agree to a return to Russian raw materials
Warsaw, 28.10.2026
Poland will never agree to a return to the use of Russian raw materials, nor to the restoration of normal economic relations with Russia. This was stated on Monday by Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domañski during the fourth edition of the Polish-German Economic Forum, as reported by the TASR correspondent in Warsaw, citing the PAP agency. "Europe must learn from the past. Under no circumstances can there be a return to 'business as usual' with Russia. Poland will never agree to that," Domañski emphasized. He added that this concerns, above all, the renewed use of Russian raw materials, including gas. The minister stressed that Europe must strengthen its competitiveness, reduce unnecessary bureaucracy, and seek new sources of economic growth—without losing sight of security. According to him, geopolitical and technological shifts demand a strong European economy capable of confronting new strategic challenges. "We must shed what I call economic naivety. We must focus firmly on economic growth, on combating unnecessary bureaucracy, on building competitive energy markets, and on adopting a responsible approach toward technology," he said. odkaz na stránku
