| Bratislava, January 13, 2025 – The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Juraj Blanár, welcomes the decision of Algeria, which informed the Ministry of Diplomacy in a verbal note about the opening of the Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Bratislava. The largest country in Africa will open its embassy in the Slovak Republic for the first time in history. Its representation accredited to Slovakia is currently located in Vienna.Last year, the Slovak government approved changes to the network of Slovak embassies abroad. This year, Slovakia is establishing new embassies in Algeria, Australia, Belgium, the Philippines, Malaysia, Tanzania, and a new liaison office in Ethiopia.13.01.2025 MZV |
