| Zdenek Rozhold will become the new Slovak Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba. He already represented Slovak diplomacy in Cuba, first as a consul (2002-2005) and then as an Ambassador (2008-2013). As the head of the Slovak Embassy in Havana, he will also currently be in charge of 12 other Caribbean states (Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Barbados, the Commonwealth of Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, the Republic of Haiti, Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia and the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis).Cuba offers investment opportunities for Slovak companies, mainly in the energy sector, particularly in electricity generation and renewable energy in connection with agricultural production and the food industry. The country has recently faced severe power outages and has been hit by several natural disasters, including hurricanes and earthquakes."One of my tasks will be to strengthen crisis management.
