| Slovak Tourism Industry at Balttour 2013 in Riga - Slovak businessmen from the regions of Pieniny, High Tatras and Dudince participated in the 20th edition of the biggest and most visited tourism fair in the Baltics – Balttour 2013 – which took place in Riga between February 8 – 10, 2013.
Supported again by a tent provided by the Slovak Embassy in Riga, the Slovak entrepreneurs offered the whole range of accommodation facilities and services for tourists in High Tatras and Pieniny. Spa Dudince presented its offer in a separate stand. This year a novelty was a joint Visegrad stand. In its Slovak section the visitors could found a complex offer of activities in our country. Professionals and common visitors from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia could also indulge in selection of Slovak wines and regional gastronomic specialties.
Every year Balttour showcases best and hottest offers on the Baltic tourism market. With record number of 300 tents, 700 providers of tourism services, 34 national tourism agencies from traditional European countries but also exotic destination such as Vietnam, Taiwan or Myanmar, it catered this time to about 30 000 visitors in three days.

The Ente Autonomo Fiera del Levante, an independent organisation set up to organise trade fairs and exhibitions, was first established in 1929 on the joint initiative of the Town Council, the Provincial Administration and the Chamber of Commerce of Bari. Since then its constant aim - enshrined in the organisation's charter and name - has been to foster contacts between West and East, Europe and the Mediterranean world. The Fiera del Levante's promotional campaigns and the many associated events have as their successful slogan "Bari, where Europe meets the East". |
